Be a part of the Civic Orchestra of Tucson without practicing!
We invite you to become a volunteer for the orchestra. Volunteers can help in many ways:
- distribute flyers before concerts
- help out at our concerts (more below)
- assist at our Musical Instrument Petting Zoos (more below)
- encourage audience members to sign up for our newsletter, and accepting donations.
Petting Zoo Volunteer: Please assist us at our Musical Instrument Petting Zoos! If you play (or have played) a string or brass instrument, you would help children and adults try to play our instruments. Even if you don't play an instrument, you could welcome people, hand out orchestra information, encourage people to sign up for our newsletter, and monitor the "tip" jar. You would also learn to put the instruments back in their cases, especially for Zoos that are just before concerts, as the musicians need to get ready to play on-stage!
Concert Volunteer: You can help out at our concerts by greeting audience members with a smile, handing out programs, encouraging people to sign up for our mailing list, accepting donations to the COT, collecting surveys, and other enjoyable duties.
If you would like to help out, please contact us!
