Support

The Civic Orchestra of Tucson has been able to sustain and expand its outreach throughout southern Arizona –free concerts, Musical Instrument Petting Zoos, Young Artists’ Competition, Music Coaching Scholarship and inclusive concerts – because of the generous support from donors, granting organizations, advertisers and business sponsors. Learn how you can support the arts and the Civic Orchestra of Tucson.

Volunteer

Be a part of the Civic Orchestra of Tucson (COT) without practicing!

There are many opportunities for you to become involved with the Civic Orchestra of Tucson. Volunteering is a way for you to support the arts and have fun at the same time!

Concert Volunteer
Concert volunteers greet audience members, encourage attendees to sign up for the COT mailing list, accept donations, and collect surveys.

Musical Instrument Petting Zoo Volunteer
There are many ways to volunteer at a Musical Instrument Petting Zoo:

  • Welcome attendees, hand out orchestra information and encourage people to sign up for the COT newsletter
  • Help attendees play the various instruments (you do not need to be a musician for this)
  • Put the instruments back in their cases, especially for Musical Instrument Petting Zoos that occur just prior to concerts, so that the musicians can get ready to play on stage

If you would like to volunteer and experience the joy of watching children (and adults!) play an instrument for the first time, please contact Civic Orchestra of Tucson. Let us know if you have played an instrument.
